Meet a Leader: Marek Kolcon

Marek Kołcon is a high school teacher and activist working to preserve Jewish history in Zamość. He led to the creation of plaques marking the place of deportation of Jews from Zamość, and, in cooperation with a descendant of Zamość Jews, to the laying of stolpersteine in the Old Town. He inspires new generations of Zamość students through educational and commemorative activities, and connects with descendants of Jews from Zamość. In 2020, he received Forum for Dialogue's 2020 Personal Development Scholarship.

In 2022, the Leaders of Dialogue program was financed thanks to the generosity of Friends of the Forum, LEDOR WADOR Foundation, Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, and individual donors and institutions from Poland and abroad supporting Forum for Dialogue.
